Kuwait City: Today is World Teachers' Day, and Kuwait will celebrate it in recognition of the teachers' noble mission and valued role in fostering and constructing a better future. The theme of World Teachers' Day in 2022 is "The transformation of education begins with teachers," which considers the contribution of educators to the development of a more conscious and educated generation. World Teachers' Day, which is observed every year on October 5, according to Hamad Al-Houli, the head of the Kuwait Teachers Society (KTS), highlights the contribution of teachers to ensuring the next generation has a better future in a variety of fields.

Al-Houli said that the UN's Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) set the date, and KTS is eager to use this opportunity to express its gratitude and appreciation to teachers through a national celebration. According to Dr. Mohammad Abdul Majid, technical director of geology, "Teacher's Day is an honouring and appreciation to celebrate the accomplishments achieved in building minds of future generations and a gratitude for the positive development of students."

The effective teacher, according to him, is able to establish rapport with students, communicate with them, and listen to them in order to boost their self-esteem, encourage them to express their ideas, and persuade them to cooperate and work together to reach creative outcomes. The measures taken to combat the Corona virus, he noted, "cast a shadow on the educational process, and with the comprehensive return to study, there is a great role that falls on the teacher's shoulders, represented in the good psychological, social, and educational interaction with the students to prepare them to accommodate the comprehensive and natural return."

According to Abdullah Al-Otaibi, technical director of science, education is a foundation for everything and a necessary pillar in people's lives. Kuwaiti teachers, he said, "fulfilled their tasks and responsibilities during the (Corona) crisis, and contributed to the continuation of the educating education process from a distance."
