RECRUITMENT OF DOMESTIC WORKERS IN KUWAIT, 733 COMPLAINTS RECEIVED IN LAST MONTH

Kuwait City: Last month, the Domestic Workers Recruitment Regulatory Department of the Manpower Authority received 733 complaints regarding the recruitment and employment of domestic workers. These include complaints filed by employers against owners of recruiting offices and companies, complaints filed by workers against employers and office owners, and complaints filed by workers against workers in return.


The total number of complaints received by the department from employers against offices or companies is 580. Workers filed 140 complaints against office owners. This includes a complaint filed by a woman worker against an office. 12 complaints were received from the offices against the workers. The figures show that the administration collected one thousand dinars for the benefit of the workers and Rs 127,000 from the recruitment offices for the benefit of the employers.
