25 PERCENT INCREASE IN THE PRICE OF EGGS IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: Egg prices have increased up to 25 percent in parallel consumer markets, cooperatives and chicken selling centers. The commerce ministry will discuss the issue of price hike today. Actions will be taken after monitoring the reports and complaints from the customers. Consumer protection authorities also observed an increase of 50 fils per pack in the prices of date and bean products in cooperatives.


Also, there has been an increase in the prices of all types of pulses in foreign food stores by 100 fils per product. The head of the Consumer Protection Association, Mishal Al Mania, mentioned the inclusion of eggs in the supply of cooperatives to stabilize their prices, with prices rising up to 300 fils in some outlets recently.
