Kuwait City: Major General Jamal Al-Sayegh, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, and Major General Yousef Al-Khadda, Director of the General Traffic Department, visited the Traffic and Operations Sector of Traffic Departments in Hawally and Mubarak Al Kabeer to review and audit driving license transactions.

The goal is to review the archives of expat drivers licences to ensure that they were obtained legally within the framework established to obtain a driver's licence, as well as to identify those who obtained licences fraudulently and to take legal action against them and withdraw their driving licence.

Previously, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Acting Minister of Interior Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled directed that all files of expatriate driving licences obtained in previous years be checked, according to Al Rai. Following receipt of instructions, the review of driving licences began immediately. Driving licences will be checked from the point of origin and how they were issued.

According to the Ministry of Interior, anyone who obtained a driver's licence fraudulently or in violation of the MOI's rules and regulations will be summoned and their driving licence will be permanently cancelled from the General Traffic Department database. According to sources, those who obtained driving licences through illegal means will face harsh punishment.
