8.2 MILLION PASSENGERS PASSED THROUGH KUWAIT AIRPORT SINCE YEAR'S BEGINNING

Kuwait City: From the beginning of this year to September 26, the total number of passengers at Kuwait Airport was about 8.2 million passengers, said Saleh Al Fadaghi, Deputy Director General of Kuwait International Airport Affairs at the General Administration of Civil Aviation.


Departures accounted for about 4.3 million passengers, while arrivals accounted for 3.8 million passengers. Al-Fadaghi added in an interview with Kuwait News Agency today that approximately 68,621 flights took off from the airport during this period.

He said that Istanbul, Cairo, Dubai, Doha and Jeddah were the most popular destinations for travelers during the period from June 1 to last August 31, and the total number of incoming and outgoing flights to Istanbul was 2,433 flights carrying 388,155 passengers. Total flights to and from Cairo in 1956 reached 317,155 passengers.
