POPE FRANCIS IN BAHRAIN NEXT MONTH

Manama: Registration is now open for Pope Francis' significant trip to Bahrain later this month. On November 5, thousands of people will gather at the Bahrain National Stadium to celebrate a significant occasion for the country's Catholic community.


The Ewe Stadium can hold 24,000 people and is primarily used for football games. The programme begins at 8.30 am, but it is not yet known how many people will attend.

According to the visitation's official website, registration will only be possible online, with spots reserved for Southern Vicariate members. The culmination of an active four-day visit to the area beginning on November 3 will be a Mass outside. The Pope will meet with national religious figures during this time and visit churches and neighbourhood schools. 

Information on registration is available on the Bahrain Papal Visit website. The website stated that a strictly reserved registration system was being implemented online for the Southern Vicariate's faithful who intended to attend the Papal Mass.
