Kuwait City: The Bachelors Committee of the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy's Judicial Control Team continues its campaigns to cut off power supply to residential apartments leased out to bachelors in so-called model residential areas. According to Ahmed Al-Shammari, Deputy Head of the Committee, authorities cut off power supply to more than 100 such properties in the Farwaniya Governorate over the past month, after the Ministry of Interior and the Kuwait municipality took all measures and issued warning notices, giving the owners of these properties ample time to rectify the situation and evict the bachelors.

Al-Shammari stated that the campaigns were carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Electricity and Water's distribution networks sector, during which the committee monitored several negative phenomena that posed a security, health, and social threat to families. Citizens who live in these areas filed the complaints. In a related vein, Al-Shammari stated that the team has issued ten citations to property owners in the governorates of Jahra and Farwaniya for violations of power and water networks since the beginning of this month (illegal connections and theft of power supply and water).
