MINISTER DISSATISFIED WITH MPW's HANDLING OF RAIN-RELATED ISSUES

Kuwait City: Concerning the flooding caused by the rain, informed Ministry of Public Works sources revealed that Minister Dr. Amani Bou Gummuz censured officials from the Ministry of Public Works' maintenance engineering sector while monitoring the rain from the control room. They explained that the minister will continue to hold meetings against the backdrop of the rain's aftermath to monitor the situation.


She had inquired about the reasons for the recurrence of water gatherings in several regions of the country and had expressed her strong displeasure with the situation. She emphasised that all officials or contractors found to be negligent will be held accountable, and that procedures in this regard will be announced early next week. If necessary, the sources did not rule out the possibility of an investigation into the effects of Friday's rain.
