PAM to suspend files of companies refusing to pay expats salaries

Kuwait City, Jan 28: While the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) announced that the files of companies will be automatically suspended when they refuse to transfer the salaries of their registered employees. Avoiding suspension needs depositing salaries before the seventh day of the due date, according to Al-Qabas daily. 

According to PAM, who released the following statement on Thursday, the decision to automatically suspend the files of businesses that refuse to pay their employees' salaries was made to be implemented during the corona crisis, starting from March 19, 2020, to resolve the negative impacts of the pandemic on business owners and workers. In order to control the labor market, the authority noted that automatically activating the suspension is in compliance with the law and PAM regulations.
