KABEHR called for reviewing healthcare system of expats

Kuwait City, Jan 29: According to Al- Anba daily, the Kuwaiti Association of the Basic Evaluators for Human Rights (KABEHR) has emphasized the significance of reviewing the healthcare system of expats, including the provision of medications. Following criticism from several doctors who claimed that recent decisions regarding the medical costs for expatriates were made without taking into account their annual health insurance premium payments and salaries, the association issued a press release. 

KABEHR said that health care is one of the fundamental human rights.The association demanded the opening of health insurance hospitals, and asked Secretariat General of Awqaf to support the healthcare system by covering part of the expatriates’ treatment costs.
