Colonel in MOI sentenced to 8 years for accepting bribes

Kuwait City, March 12: The Criminal Court sentenced a colonel in the Ministry of Interior to 8 years, with work and enforcement, for accepting bribes in exchange for issuing licenses to expatriates who do not meet the conditions.

The 8 expatriate defendants involved in this case were also sentenced between 6 and 4 years with hard labor, and ordered sporadic fines amounting to about 20,000 dinars. They will be deported after serving the sentence.
