Saudi Tourism receives record number of tourists

Saudi, March 26: The Saudi Minister of Tourism, Ahmed Al-Khatib, confirmed that the tourism sector in the Kingdom recorded historical numbers in terms of occupancy rates and the number of visitors from abroad. The number of visitors during the month of January reached 2.4 million visitors, while the number increased during last February, which witnessed the entry of 2.5 million visitors, i.e. Approximately 83 thousand visitors per day. 

Al-Khatib stressed the importance of localizing the sector, and that it is an issue that will not be accepted for discussion or postponement, especially since the ministry has trained more than 100,000 young men and women and spent 400 million riyals on them.
