Kuwait City, April 19: Informed sources revealed that banks have started tightening regulations for expat clients with expired residency permits by freezing their bank accounts immediately or limiting the withdrawal from the monthly salary or a deposit. The sources indicated that the banks that activated this procedure apply it not only to non-Kuwaiti customers whose cards have expired for a long time but even to newly expired cards, as the restriction begins on the first day, noting that this procedure is applied to “Bidoon” customers.
