Manipur violence: Two women paraded naked by mob

Indian outrage has been sparked by a video of two women being publicly humiliated by a crowd in Manipur, a northeastern state that has been affected by violent inter-ethnic clashes. The police have initiated a criminal investigation into the alleged gang-rape and arrested one person.

Parliament's session in New Delhi was suspended on Thursday as legislators requested a discussion on the matter. The Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi, has declared that the incident has brought India to a "shame" and that all perpetrators will be held accountable.
