The southern Indian state, Kerala, is cracking down on the spread of Nipah after two people lost their lives due to the rare and deadly virus. Schools have been closed and hundreds of people have been tested to make sure it doesn't spread further.

Nipah is a transmissible virus from animals to humans and human to human. Nipah symptoms usually start with a headache and sleepiness, but can turn into a coma in a few days. In 2018, Kerala had a major outbreak of Nipah, which killed 17 people and caused a lot of panic.
