  • 28/10/2025

The UAE has commissioned the F3 power plant in Fujairah, one of the nation's largest gas-fired electricity facilities. With a capacity of 2.4 gigawatts, the plant can supply power to approximately 380,000 households.

This project is a significant step in the UAE's strategic shift towards cleaner energy and supports its goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. The plant will enhance the reliability of the energy grid, promote the use of cleaner energy sources, and contribute to a reduction in carbon intensity.

The F3 plant was developed by a consortium of key entities, including the Emirates Water and Electricity Company, Abu Dhabi National Energy Company, Mubadala Investment Company, and the Japanese firm JERA.
