Poverty rate in Pakistan affects an estimated 95 million people

Pakistan's poverty rate has risen to 39.4 percent as of the previous fiscal year, with an additional 12.5 million people living in poverty due to weak economic conditions, according to a report by the World Bank. The World Bank has urged Pakistan to take urgent action to improve its financial situation. The World Bank estimates that nearly 95 million Pakistanis are living in poverty.
