Judge Saleh Al-Muraishid, presiding over the Court of Cassation, has overturned the previous ruling of a lower court. This ruling had sentenced an Egyptian expatriate and a Kuwaiti deputy officer to ten years in prison each, followed by their dismissal from their positions. Additionally, two Egyptian expatriates were sentenced to five years in prison. These individuals were accused of involvement in a network that produced forged Farwaniya traffic driving licenses, charging KD 300 for each license. However, the Court of Cassation has chosen not to impose any punishment on them. Furthermore, the court has also revoked the four-year prison sentence that had been given to eight Egyptians who had paid bribes after failing the tests. The court has decided not to punish them. Lastly, the court has upheld its decision to abstain from punishing three other defendants.
