A reliable source has indicated that the Public Prosecution has submitted the Mangaf fire incident to the General Department of Investigations within the Ministry of Interior. The incident has been categorized as a “misdemeanor” instead of a “felony,” following technical assessments that suggest the fire was not caused intentionally.
The source further noted that after questioning all individuals involved and initially holding them in custody pending trial, the Public Prosecution found no evidence of criminal intent or premeditation. Consequently, the judge responsible for renewing detention has opted to grant bail to the eight defendants in the case, which comprises one Kuwaiti national, three Indian nationals, and four Egyptian nationals, with each required to post a bail amount of 300 dinars.
