The Ministry of Health has declared that the laboratories at the Sheikha Salwa Al-Sabah Stem Cell and Umbilical Cord Center have received international accreditation for molecular testing from the Association for the Advancement of Blood and Biotherapeutics (AABB). This achievement strengthens Kuwait's standing in the domains of healthcare and scientific research.
The Director of the Blood Transfusion Services Department at the Ministry, Dr. Reem Al-Radwan, stated in a press release on Tuesday that the laboratories "are the first in the Arab world and the second globally outside the United States to achieve this accreditation." Dr. Al-Radwan elaborated that this accreditation represents a significant advancement in the realm of stem cell therapy, as it guarantees that the laboratories comply with the highest standards of quality and safety in their examination and treatment procedures.
