Umm Al Quwain Declares 3 Days of Mourning After Death of Sheikha

Ajman: Sheikha Hazza bint Humaid bin Abdulrahman Al Shamsi, mother of Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, has passed away. The funeral prayer was held at the Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Mualla Mosque in the Al Ras area, followed by her burial.

Prominent figures, including Sheikh Humaid bin Ahmed Al Mualla and Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, attended the funeral alongside senior officials, dignitaries, Emiratis, and expatriates.

The Umm Al Quwain Royal Court has declared a three-day mourning period, during which flags will be flown at half-mast across the emirate. Sheikha Hazza, a member of the Al Shamsi family, was known for her contributions to the Emirati community, particularly in social welfare, education, and cultural heritage.

Mourning ceremonies will be held today and tomorrow from 9:00 am until the Dhuhr (noon) prayer and in the evening after the Asr prayer until the Isha (night) prayer.
