The Ministry of Interior conducted an intensive security and traffic campaign in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh on Thursday, resulting in 359 traffic violations issued and the arrest of 52 violators and wanted persons. The Ministry’s General Department of Public Relations and Security Media stated that the campaign was carried out following directives from First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, who called for intensified security operations nationwide.
The campaign led to the arrest of 24 individuals violating residency and work laws, 5 people found without valid identification, 12 absconders, and 9 wanted individuals. Additionally, one person was arrested for possession of suspected narcotic substances, and security forces seized a vehicle involved in a traffic violation and two motorcycles wanted by the judiciary. One more arrest was made concerning a person wanted for criminal execution.
The operation involved various sectors, including the Traffic and Operations Affairs Sector, represented by the General Traffic Department, General Department of Rescue Police, Central General Department of Operations, Public Security Sector, and Private Security Sector. The campaign featured widespread deployment of security and traffic patrols across the area, implementing thorough inspection and regulatory procedures.
The Ministry of Interior emphasized that ongoing security and traffic campaigns across the country are part of its commitment to combating all forms of violations and enhancing public safety. The ministry urged the public to cooperate with security personnel and report any illegal activities by contacting the emergency number.
