Kuwait Strengthens Readiness for Nuclear Risk Management

Kuwait: In response to the evolving regional situation, Kuwait has intensified its efforts to prepare for potential nuclear emergencies. The Army's General Staff announced that the National Initiative for Assessing Risks and Damage from Nuclear Reactors held a high-level meeting on Tuesday to evaluate the nation’s readiness.

The meeting gathered representatives from key military and civilian sectors to assess the preparedness of critical infrastructure, including energy, water, health, and environmental monitoring systems. Discussions also covered civil defense measures and emergency plans for handling air and maritime incidents.

Officials reviewed coordination strategies and support mechanisms to ensure seamless collaboration among various government agencies. This initiative aims to reinforce national resilience and guarantee a rapid, integrated response in the event of a nuclear-related incident or disaster.
