Supreme Panel Details Virus Vaccine Roll-Out

Kuwait City : As per reports, a member of the Supreme Committee for Virus Control and a member of the Covid-19 vaccination committee Dr Khaled Al-Saeed said that the first batch of vaccine that will arrive soon includes vaccinating 5 percent of the Kuwaiti population and the second 20 percent. In a statement, Dr Al-Saeed said that the first batch of the vaccine will be given to the front-row workers of the health sector, the elderly and patients with chronic diseases. Also added that the vaccination will not be given to those under the age of 18 and pregnant women. He also said the vaccination will be made available through prior reservation via an application that will be activated after the arrival of the vaccine. He indicated that the elderly and those with chronic diseases will receive two doses three to four weeks apart after which a certificate will be issued stating the person has received the vaccine.
