MORE THAN 8000 EXPATRIATES EVACUATED FROM ILLEGAL HOMES IN CAPITAL

Kuwait City: Authorities informed that they have evacuated 8,000 bachelor expatriates who were living in homes without following the rules and regulations.  The reason behind the action is that it does not match the address entered in the civil ID.

In addition, the failure to take any health precautions led to the action.  Kuwait City Governor Sheikh Talal al-Khalid conducted an inspection with the relevant authorities and found violations.  The governor and his team visited Mirkhab, Al Qibla, Sharq and Binayd Al Ghar.

The governor called on the authorities concerned to take immediate action.  "This is one of the most important issues for Kuwaitis," he said.  He added that landlords have a national and moral obligation not to rent out houses to single expats.
