JULY FOURTH COULD BE A RECORD-BREAKING END OF THE WEEK FOR TSA

The United States hit another achievement for air terminal traveler screening this week, with the Transportation Security Administration revealing that it screened a larger number of individuals Thursday than it did on a similar date in 2019. 


TSA officials screened 2,147,090 individuals at air terminal security designated spots cross country July 1. Around the same time in 2019, they screened 2,088,760. Thursday was essentially the eleventh time this year that air terminal screenings outperformed 2 million. The first occasion when that happened was June 11, a Friday, when 2,028,961 individuals were screened. The most active day so far in 2021 was June 27, a Sunday, when 2,167,380 individuals were screened. More records could be set this weekend. 

AAA Mid-Atlantic is projecting that almost 50 million individuals are relied upon to be moving this occasion end of the week. While most will go via vehicle, numerous likewise are flying and taking trains and transports. With air terminals, trains and streets prone to be more packed than they have been in months, authorities are cautioning explorers to be patient and amenable.
