Kuwait City: Vaccination registration of expatriates who have received the vaccine from abroad is in progress, officials said. From August 1, the Ministry of Health has introduced a facility to upload vaccination information on the portal for foreigners returning to the country after issuing travel permits to expatriates. Vaccination certificates are reviewed by a technical committee consisting of eminent health experts. Meanwhile, the health portal has received about 50,000 registrations so far, of which about 12,000 certificates have been verified by the technical team, officials said.

According to the Kuwaiti cabinet decision, those who receive two doses of the Pfizer, AstraZeneca and Modena vaccines and one dose of Johnson & Johnson will be admitted to Kuwait. Officials had earlier said that the vaccines would be approved only after a detailed examination of the information provided by the foreigners. Meanwhile, in some countries, it may take longer to get vaccination certificates checked, a local newspaper reported, citing health sources. The Ministry of Health has stated that the Vaccine Inspection Committee has rejected all certificates suspected of forging documents that do not comply with the required data in the application form or do not hold the barcode.
