COVID CASES DECLINING IN KUWAIT, TEST POSITIVITY REACHED 8.8 FOR FIRST TIME

Kuwait City: After four months, covid cases are declining, bringing relief to the country. Test positivity dropped to 8.8 percent on Friday. Of the 14,314 tests, covid confirmed 1,263 were new. On the 15th, 1,385 people were infected with covid. The test positivity was 9.03.


On Friday, 19 people died of covid in the country. Of these, 17 have not been vaccinated. This brings the total death toll to 2,193. 1,599 people were cured. 333 people are being treated in the intensive care unit.

Covid cases in governorates accounted for 33 per cent in Ahmadi, 25 per cent in Haveli, 20 per cent in Farwaniya, 13 per cent in Zahra and 9 per cent in the capital, Health Ministry spokesman Dr Al Sanad said. He again called on the people of the country to continue with preventive measures and maintain physical distance.
