ABDUL RAHMAN AL FADIL PLACED FIFTH IN FIRST GROUP AT TOKYO OLYMPICS ROWING COMPETITION

Kuwait City: Abdul Rahman Al Fadil, the Kuwaiti champion, placed fifth in the first group at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 individual rowing competition. Al Fadl rowed in 8:49:03 minutes in a tough race at Sea Fort Waterway.


Al Fadil is also the first Kuwaiti to row in Olympic history. Norwegian Kettle Porsche came first in the preliminary round of the first group. Hungary's Molnar and Brazil's Luka Ferreira are in second and third place, respectively. The rowing competition is conducted by dividing the 36 competitors into six groups.
