INDIAN EMBASSY LAUNCHES INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS

Kuwait City: Indian Embassy on the occasion of beginning of Independence Day celebrations Ambassador of India, Sibi George sang the National Anthem at the 'Azadi Ka Mahotsav' organized by the Ministry of Culture on the occasion of the 75th Independence Day. The Indian Ambassador requested all Indian expatriates in Kuwait to join the celebration under the hashtag 'Sing the National Anthem and join the Nation'. The national anthem Janaganamana is a symbol of India's glory and sovereignty. Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore's lyrics fill the national anthem with the culture and diversity of India. Rabindranath Tagore's first song was sung on December 27, 1911, the second day of the Indian National Congress' conference in Kolkata. The first referendum was held in Parliament on January 24, 1950, two days before the country was declared the supreme republic.
