INDIAN AMBASSADOR OF KUWAIT CONGRAGULATES OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST NEERAJ CHOPRA

Kuwait City: Indian Embassy in Kuwait congratulates Neeraj Chopra on making history at the Olympics and winning a gold medal in javelin throw. Ambassador Sibi George lauded the gold medalist and the Indian team for their outstanding performance, recalling what he saw when Neeraj arrived in Zurich to attend the 2018 IAAF Diamond Finals.


He was inaugurating the "Indian Handloom Week". He lauded the Commerce Wing of the Embassy for its efforts in organizing the Handloom Week celebrations. Sibi George also spoke about the video conference held by the Prime Minister of India with the Ambassadors and partners in the commercial sector yesterday.

The Prime Minister spoke about the need to increase exports from India and popularize Indian-made products abroad. All GCC countries, including Kuwait, are India's natural partners. "Economic and trade ties between India and Kuwait have grown significantly despite the Kovid challenge," he said. He also spoke about the handloom and textile sectors.
