Dubai: Video footage of an air hostess in an Emirates uniform standing on top of Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building, went viral on social media yesterday. The shocking scenes were in an advertisement released by Emirates in the wake of the UAE's exemption from travel restrictions in the UK. Ever since the video was released, many have shared on social media that it is doubtful whether it was actually filmed.

The Emirates ad came out yesterday with the message that it is like standing at the top of the world. But Emirates says it was actually filmed without the use of technologies such as green screens. Nicole Smith Ludwick, a professional skydiving instructor, is featured in the video as an Emirates cabin crew member. And with the help and effort of a few people, the video was shot at an altitude of 828 meters.

The video was shot after completing training, planning and testing to ensure strict security. When decided to shoot such a video, they first approached the air hostesses of Emirates. Tiwar was ready. But to ensure safety, the experienced Sky Diver was chosen for this.

Every action was taken to ensure safety. A platform and a small pillar were erected to secure it. Nicole Smith tied Ludwig to this pillar and other points besides it. It is also set under Emirates' uniform so as not to be caught on camera. Filming began at sunrise to get the morning sunlight.

It took the group an hour and 15 minutes to reach the top from the 160th floor of Burj Khalifa. To reach the top you have to climb several ladders and so on. The team spent about five hours at the top of Burj Khalifa filming the video. The scenes were completely filmed using a single drone. Emirates President Tim Clarke said he was proud to be among the few people allowed to climb to the top of Burj Khalifa.
