Kuwait City: The DGCA has decided to start direct daily services from India to Kuwait. Yusuf Al Fawzan, Director General of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, has sent a letter to Anoop Pant, Under Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, India. According to the new decision, there will be direct flights from India to Kuwait seven days a week. The services will be operated by Kuwait Airways, the national carrier of Kuwait, Jazeera Airways and Indian Airlines.

Initially 5528 passengers will be accommodated. There are 656 seats on Sunday, 1112 on Monday, 648 on Tuesday, 648 on Wednesday, 1088 on Thursday, 638 on Friday and 738 on Saturday. The service is now being launched on an air bubble basis in the wake of India's ongoing ban on international flights. This puts an end to the days of uncertainty over direct entry into Kuwait from India.
