STUDIES AT THE INTERNATIONAL INDIAN SCHOOL IN JEDDAH WILL RESUME AS USUAL FROM TOMORROW

Jeddah: Muzaffar Hassan, principal of the International Indian School in Jeddah, said the school would resume normal operations from tomorrow. Offline classes at the school will start in stages. Classes nine to twelve will start working in two days. 


Online classes for classes 10 and 12 will start from Monday. Classes nine and eleven will be from September 20th, and students must continue their studies online until September 19th. At the same time, classes for KG to eighth grade students will remain online until further notice, the principal said. 

Classes at the school are from 8 a.m. to 1.20 p.m. Children must attend class ten minutes in advance. The principal's circular explained that children in classes IX to XII will participate in online-offline classes on a rotation basis. 

Rotation is done by dividing the total number of children in each class into groups A and B. Classes will be online for Group B students when they come to Group A classes on single (1, 3, 5, 7….) Days in the calendar. For Group B students, the class will be on double digit days (2, 4, 6, 8.) In the calendar. Classes for Group A students will continue online on these days. 

Class teachers will let children know which group they belong to. Offline classes are restricted to students who have received two doses of the vaccine, which their parents have informed them of their willingness to attend class. The principal's circular said classes would continue online for others in the same class. 

Students coming to the school should submit a copy of the Final Vaccination (Health Passport) report to the respective class teacher and keep it in its original possession. Every student and parent must strictly adhere to the entire Covid precautionary measures, such as wearing a mask and maintaining social distance. 

Do not send  children to school if they have a fever or any similar symptoms. The principal's circular also emphasizes the need to teach corona protocol procedures from home. Entrance to the school premises will be after checking the body temperature. 

The circular advised parents to provide water and food for their children as there would be no canteen facility in the school compound. School buses will not operate until further notice. 

The school, which was shut down as part of a crackdown on corona expansion, will resume operations after a year and a half. Normal classes are resumed on the instructions of the Saudi Ministry of Health. Saudi schools started functioning two weeks ago.
