As part of the preparations for Hajj 2025, the UAE Hajj Office announced that all facilities at the pilgrimage camps in Mina and Arafat have been inspected and are fully operational. The camps are ready to receive 6,228 pilgrims from the UAE, with enhanced services aimed at providing a safe, comfortable, and spiritually enriching experience.
Upgrades include modern air-conditioning systems, improved catering equipment, and expanded medical and administrative services. All infrastructure has been designed to function efficiently under high-capacity and extreme weather conditions, in line with international standards.
Dr. Omar Habtour Al Darei, Chairman of the UAE General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat and the UAE Hajj Affairs Office, praised the rapid and effective completion of preparations. He emphasized the UAE’s commitment to ensuring the health, safety, and comfort of all pilgrims.
Significant improvements have also been made to the environmental conditions within the camps, including shaded walkways, landscaping, and the installation of misting fans to reduce heat-related illnesses.
Among the key developments this year is the construction of a new mosque that can accommodate over 400 worshippers. High-quality audio and video systems have also been installed in all Arafat camps to broadcast sermons and prayers, allowing pilgrims to participate fully in the spiritual journey without logistical disruptions.
