NEW PROPOSAL TO PRODUCE TRANSACTION DOCUMENTS WHEN PURCHAISING VEHICLES IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: New proposal to produce transaction documents to transfer ownership to another person when purchasing vehicles in Kuwait. Major General Jamal Al Sayeq, Assistant Undersecretary of the Traffic Department, issued a circular in this regard. 


Copies of check, cash receipt or bank transfer certificate should be provided to the authorities at the time of sale. According to the report, the new decision comes in the wake of a recent spate of money laundering activities involving the buying and selling of luxury vehicles through cash payments.
