INFLUENZA VACCINATION CAMPAIGN IN KUWAIT NEXT MONTH

Kuwait City: Kuwaiti Ministry of Health awaits the arrival of influenza and pneumococcal vaccines. Preparations are underway to launch an influenza and pneumococcal vaccination campaign in October. The latest information is that these vaccines will arrive in two weeks.


The Ministry is considering allocating some sites and centers that currently provide covid vaccine to administer influenza and pneumococcal vaccines. The ministry aims to complete the vaccination campaign without much hustle and bustle. 

The influenza vaccination campaign for citizens and residents is expected to witness widespread public participation, as happened last year. The most common infectious winter respiratory illnesses in Kuwait are pneumococcal bacteria that cause the influenza virus, especially influenza (H1N1 + H3N2) and influenza B.
