Kuwait City: The real estate sector in Turkey has witnessed a huge leap this year. As of August, real estate prices were up 80 percent. In some areas of Istanbul, it has reached 100 percent. According to figures released by the Turkish Statistical Institute, Kuwaitis bought 873 apartments in Turkey between the beginning of this year and the end of August. This is an increase of 86% over the same period last year. Kuwait has the highest number of items purchased and maintained in the Gulf. Kuwait ranks seventh in the world. Iraq was the first to buy about 4,631 apartments.
