Kuwait City: The Civil Service Commission has requested that government entities determine the amount of expatriate personnel employed in each job category in order to aid in the fifth and final stage of the Kuwaitization of jobs programme implementation.

In a letter to government institutions, the CSC warned that if the replacement strategy is not followed, non-compliant agencies' budgets will be suspended.

The CSC also stated in the letter that it is drafting an annual study for the fifth year to complete the replacement strategy, based on the terms of Resolution No. 11 of 2017 governing the norms and procedures for Kuwaitization of jobs in all government agencies.

The CSC has attached tables of 17 different functional groups mentioned in the aforementioned decision, and has requested that the authorities specify the number of workers in each functional group, whether Kuwaiti or non-Kuwaiti, pointing out that, in light of the authority's statement, the number of non-Kuwaiti employees will be reduced to meet the Kuwaitization decision's percentage of Kuwaitis.
