KUWAIT TO ALLOW ENTRY OF INFECTED PEOPLE WHO COMPLETED QUARANTINE

Kuwait City: The Kuwaiti Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has issued a new circular to all airlines outlining additional protocols to allow infected travellers to enter Kuwait and finish their isolation period. The DGCA said in its circular that vaccinated travellers must provide a positive PCR test result certificate between 7 and 28 days prior to their arrival date.

Meanwhile, unvaccinated travellers (only Kuwaitis) must present a positive PCR test result certificate 10 to 28 days ahead to their arrival date, according to the statement. The DGCA declared that the new measures will take effect at 00:01 a.m. Kuwait time on Wednesday, taking into account prior cabinet decisions on identifying persons who are permitted to enter the nation.

This procedure is designed to make it easier for Kuwaiti citizens who have been infected with the coronavirus and whose PCR test certificate shows positive after their first swab test, delaying their return to Kuwait. They can now enter Kuwait with a positive PCR test if they have spent their quarantine period outside of Kuwait. Only national carriers can be used with this process (Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways).
