MOI DENIES ANY FORM OF POWER ABUSE

Kuwait City: Following the arrest of a civilian, the Ministry of Interior denied abusing its power to defend itself against such allegations. According to the Ministry of Interior's Public Relations and Security Media Department, the individual was arrested and taken to the Public Prosecution after a complaint was lodged against him.


According to security sources, the arrest and search procedures were carried out in accordance with the law, based on a Public Prosecution decision, and that the Public Prosecution order included the implementation of the decision at all times of the day and night, noting that the accused and seized items were referred directly to the Public Prosecution. After the interrogation, the Public Prosecutor ordered his imprisonment.
