EXTENSIVE INSPECTION BY MANPOWER AUTHORITY IN CLINICS, SECRETARY WHO WORKED AS DOCTOR ARRESTED IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: The Manpower Authority has launched an inspection campaign in private clinics across the country. Extensive inspections were carried out in collaboration with the General Administration of Residency Affairs. Several illegal workers were arrested during the inspection. Authorities also seized a large quantity of illicit drugs banned in Kuwait.


Sixteen people were arrested for violating the residency law and working in the medical rum gut without any license from the concerned authorities. Drugs worth 60,000 dinars were also seized during a search of a clinic operating in the Salmiya area. An expatriate with Arab citizenship, who was charged in other cases, was also arrested. A woman who was only qualified to work as a secretary was also arrested for posing as a doctor.
