PAM HAS BEGUN THE RENEWAL OF RESIDENCE PERMITS FOR 60 NON-GRADUATE EXPATS, 36 WORK PERMITS HAVE BEEN RENEWED

  • 09/02/2022

Kuwait City: After more than a year of waiting, the Public Authority for Manpower announced on January 24 that it had issued 36 work permits to non-graduate expatriates who are 60 years or older after paying the fees, through the "Ashal" application, after opening the door to issue work permits for this category of residents on January 24.

In a press statement issued yesterday, the authority stated that the permits were issued in compliance with established fees and procedures, citing Administrative Decision No. "27" of 2021, which established a list of rules and procedures for awarding work permits. After PAM refused to renew the permits of persons holding health insurance policies from companies not listed on the Kuwait Stock Exchange, the issuing of 36 licences ended the 'dispute' of government coordination, which caused the delay.
