KUWAIT RECEIVES 10,000 CIVID ID APPLICATIONS DAILY

Kuwait City: The IT Minister Dr. K.S. Rana Al Fares informed that the number of civil ID applications is currently being accepted at 10,000 per day. From March 12, 2020 to June 6, 2020, the civil ID activities were suspended due to Covid pandemic.


As per the Cabinet decision, health precautions and restrictions on attendance by employees have affected the process of issuing civil IDs. The Minister said that the accumulation of requests on a daily basis and the high rate of annual issue requests, the revision of the one-year stay period has led to an increase in the number of cards and affected the daily production capacity.
