Kuwait City: Kuwaiti citizens and expats spent 10.16 billion dinars on online purchases in 2021, up from 6.05 billion in 2020 — 4.1 billion dinars, or 67.7 percent, higher than the previous year. When compared to 5.57 billion dinars in 2020, the volume of online spending by citizens and residents within Kuwait increased by more than 69 percent (3.86 billion dinars in 2021 to 9.43 billion dinars). Citizens and residents' expenditure on internet purchases outside Kuwait climbed by 51%, totaling 243 million dinars, to reach 724.6 million dinars in 2021, up from 481.3 million dinars in 2020.
