KUWAIT'S DEFENCE MINISTER TALKS STRENGTHENING TIES WITH TURKISH AND INDIAN AMBASSADORS

Kuwait City: Kuwait's Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister, Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah, met with the Turkish and Indian ambassadors to Kuwait on Tuesday to discuss bilateral relations and collaboration with the countries represented by these envoys. 


According to the Ministry of Defense, during a meeting with Turkish Ambassador Ase Koytak, the defence minister addressed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation. He also praised the depth of Kuwait and Turkey's close bilateral relations. For her part, the ambassador delivered a note from Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusolgu to Kuwaiti Foreign Minister inviting him to the Antalya Diplomatic Forum in March. Minister Sheikh Hamad expressed gratitude for the courteous invitation, which demonstrated the depth of the two countries' friendly relations and collaboration. 

Separately, the defence minister met with Indian Ambassador to Kuwait Sibi George to discuss areas of mutual interest, ways to strengthen collaboration, and regional and international challenges. Kuwaiti Army Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Khaled Saleh Al-Sabah, interim Defense Undersecretary Sheikh Fahad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah, and Assistant Undersecretary Sheikha Shamayel Ahmad Al-Khaled Al-Sabah attended the two sessions. Later in the day, the minister hosted the State of Kuwait Ambassador to Tunisia, Ali Al-Shafiri, for a discussion on a variety of themes. He praised the Kuwaiti mission's contribution to strengthening collaboration between the two sister countries.
