SEVERAL PEOPLE ARE KILLED IN AN EXPLOSION AT SHIA MOSQUE IN PESHAWAR, PAKISTAN

According to authorities, at least 30 people were murdered in an explosion inside a mosque in the northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar. More than 50 people are said to have been injured in a suspected suicide attack on a Shia mosque during Friday prayers.

Some of the injured have been described as being in critical condition. No group has officially claimed responsibility for the attack. In recent years, sectarian violence in Pakistan has killed thousands of people, the most of whom are Shias.
