Kuwait City: Following the return to 100 percent work in all government institutions as a result of a circular issued by the Civil Service Commission, which stated that all exemptions would be discontinued as of Sunday, the General Traffic Department was fully prepared to keep up with the situation, deploying a number of foot patrols in key areas to help with traffic flow, particularly in front of schools, government institutions, and major intersections.

Lieutenant-Colonel Abdullah Bahman, who works in the ministry's Public Relations Department for Traffic Awareness, confirmed "the traffic police's readiness to keep pace with the full return of employees beginning today (Sunday)," noting that "there is a high traffic density due to the simultaneous return of employees to their workplaces and students going to school at the same time," and adding that "the traffic police helped things run smoothly." He added that the amount of traffic accidents was typical, and that this was due to security personnel's efforts to manage traffic on roads and streets. According to Bahman, the most traffic delays were observed on the Fourth Ring Road and the Fifth Ring Road owing to ongoing renovations, particularly at lunchtime.
