SCHOOL CLEANERS ARE PROTESTING BECAUSE THEIR SALARIES HAVE NOT BEEN PAID FOR SEVERAL MONTHS

Kuwait City: Hundreds of cleaners from cleaning companies did not return to work at schools and educational institutions because their salaries had not been paid. Except for the Farwaniya neighbourhood, these cleaners work in five educational zones. These employees are employed under ministry contracts. The Ministry of Education's hygiene dilemma will be resolved soon as fresh contracts are awarded to cleaning companies.


After meeting with the company, the ministry's financial section was able to strike an agreement, and the matter would be remedied soon. The company's last payment was made in July, and its account was frozen owing to infractions. The Civil Service Commission appoints the news employees, who number between 1,000 and 1,100.
