FUEL PRICES IN THE UAE HAVE REACHED NEW HIGHS, WITH DIESEL COSTS ALSO RISING

Abu Dhabi: In the United Arab Emirates, the price of Petrol and diesel has increased. Petrol prices have increased by 16 percent, while diesel prices have increased by 26 percent. This is the first time in seven years that there has been such a rise. 


The price of Petrol was increased by 51 fils, and the price of diesel was increased by 83 fils. Diesel is now around 4 dirhams per litre for the first time. As a result, a full tank of  Petrol or diesel will set you back 30 dirhams (Rs. 620) more than it did in March. 

On Friday, the new April rate went into effect. The dramatic increase in crude oil prices on the worldwide market as a result of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict has also pushed up domestic costs in the UAE.

 The price of Super 98 petrol is 3.74 dirhams per litre. 3.23 dirhams was the previous rate. The new rate for a special 95 litre is 3.62 dirhams. 3.12 dirhams was the previous rate. In April, E-Plus petrol will cost 3.55 dirhams. In March, it was 3.05 dirhams. The price of diesel has been increased from AED 3.19 to AED 4.02.
